Editing: 30 mph
Do you ever just have this one prominent idea in your head, that you just NEED to write down? Well, in this case, I had this prominent idea of how my Music Video would look. When I got home, I could not wait to get my idea out, edited, and on the screen! My friend ended up staying a bit later that night, so I ended up going to bed. The next day, when I woke up on Wednesday, November 25, I couldn't wait to get up and edit! Editing took me about an hour and a half.
The first thing I did was I went through every single one of my clips that I had exported to my computer, and picked out the ones that I liked the best. Once I had that done, I cropped each clip to only fit for one lyric of choice. Next was the hardest part. Aside from making sure all of the clips matched up with the transitions, I had to also make sure that our lip-synching matched the actual lyrics. I would say about 10 minutes were spent matching up the transitions and lip-synching to the song. Once this was done, I was able to focus on my favorite part, effects!! I put a voice effects on me and my friend's voices to make it sound like we were on the phone. I also put subtitles to accentuate our conversation about the haters. I searched and put a filter on every clip to make it brighter and more colorful! Then, I focused on cropping and zooming-in on certain shots. Lastly, I made sure to edit the song so that it fades in and fades out at the beginning and end of the 30 second clip from my song. Once this process was complete, I watched the finished product in awe. I Facetimed the friend that I filmed it with to show her our video, and she loved it too. Overall, I love that the video turned out exactly like I wanted it to. I hope you like it as much as I do!
