Planning for my Music Video

Part of original music video! ^^

Props:

My music video will consist of many different props. Since I am filming a rap track with many different topics, so I will be using many different props and appearing in many different places. It is not completely clear yet, but I believe some of my props will include a car, car keys, a phone, my dog, and more! We may also film some parts at night, in which case my props can include special lights and glow-in-the-dark items.

Costume:

I am filming with my best friend, so we will be wearing matching outfits. We want to look like we’re crushing our “haters”, so we will also have makeup on. Our outfits will consist of a black shirt or tank top, blue jeans or jean shorts, and white or black shoes. Our makeup will be very simple, with some eyeliner, blush, lip gloss, and mascara. We will most likely have our hair down or up in a messy bun throughout the music video.

Schedule:

On 11- 15- 2020, I will set the props, costumes, schedule, location, and back-up plan for my music video.

On 11-16 - 2020, I will research the different editing apps and effects I can use to better my music video. I will also watch many different tutorials in order to create special effects on my music video.

On 11- 18- 2020, I will draw out my story board for my music video.

On 11- 20- 2020 through 11-25-2020, I will find the time to meet up with my friend and film my music video. I will most likely film on 11-22-2020

On 11-26-2020, I will complete my filming blog.

On 11- 27-2020, I will edit my music video.

On 12-01-2020, I will complete my editing blog.

On 12-05-2020, I will write my third blog, which will consist of some more filming blog information.

On 12-08-2020, I will fill out my critical reflection questions.

Location:

Since I have access to a car, my friend and I will be filming at many different locations. One location will be my house, which will be the initial location. Specifically, we will start in my bedroom. We can then drive to a shopping center near my house, and film some shots there. Lastly, we can drive to a park near my house, and film a few shots there as well. This will help communicate a story, as we will show a shift in mood as we adventure on, displaying the fact that we wont let the haters bring us down.

Back-up Plan:

If it happens to be raining or the car is not available for the video, my plan is to base the music video on things we can do inside. My friend and I may not get as dressed up, but rather stay in pajamas. We can still show that we are having fun, and if it is just raining outside, we can even film some shots of us dancing in the rain. This may emphasize our main message.
