Yield! Take 5... Having Second Thoughts?

I finished editing my Music Video on November 25, 2020. This was over thanksgiving break. As soon as I was done, I watched it over and over with my friend, who also loved it.
However, if you didn't know, I am a HUGE overthinker. I had the night to rest, which also gave me time to think about my Music Video, and whether or not my story actually came through. Of course, when I woke up, I re-watched the video, I found that my message was a bit unclear. After gathering the opinion of my parents, who found the same thing as me, I decided to edit my video a little bit.
I had filmed a scene that I wasn't sure if I would include or not, but I ended up editing it into my video, and trimming the song down. This specific scene was the starting scene, and it showed my friend and I upset in our rooms. Lonely, was the intended message. I feel that this added a bit of contrast in my Music Video, as most of it was spent singing happy lyrics. I feel that the "sad" 10 second portion of the video was able to portray my message to the audience better than the Music Video without it. After getting the second approval of my parents as well as my teacher, I knew I was set to go. My Music Video showed that my friend and I were able to overcome any feelings that we had in order to be happy. It also shows that a friend, or an extra shoulder to lean on, can help you get through the toughest times. Don't be afraid to lean on that shoulder!!
The reason I chose to make this an entire blog is the fact that I trusted the process. I've heard this statement before, and honestly, never put too much thought into it. In this case, I really did doubt the process, only to find out I was ok all along. I believe that second doubts and editing contribute to make a project better a whole. This is exactly what I did, and I couldn't be happier with the results.
