Filming and Editing Blog: If Organization was a Person...

If I have not mentioned this already, I am an extreme neat freak, and don't feel satisfied unless things are organized and in their correct place. For this project, many may film their movie before checking for any of the following things. For me, I need to have these set in stone before even thinking about filming my movie. I decided to set the pace at which I accomplish all of my checks on the 'To-Do List". I will start with two simple tasks to finish by the end of this week. It is Thursday, March 4th. These two tasks will be completed by Sunday, March 7. First, I have to figure out my titles and animation. I am the opposite of tech-savvy, so I plan on tackling the hardest parts of this media project first. I spent about 45 minutes to 1 hour researching different title fonts, and figuring out how to animate them. I cited the title website in my last title blog. When I found the right font, I decided to plug my titles into an app where I can edit each transition, and convert it to a Quicktime Video.

The next thing I would like to tackle will be the music in my film. I plan on using a royalty-free site to record and incorporate the music in my film. Once I find a song of my choice, I can copy the link to use during the later editing stages. Of course, in the mind of someone that is as much of a 'neat freak' as I, I always have a back-up plan in store, I plan on finding a song on Youtube, as well as a few different sound effects. I will contact the producer of the different content I plan on using. This is the sole reason I am giving myself such a generous amount of time with these two tasks. I will give each person time to respond to me and give me the rights to their sound, as well as try my best figure out and use technology to the best of my abilities. With these two tasks set in stone, I am ready to start crossing off my To-Do List!!
