Production Blog: It's Raining... Homework?
After creating the document in my last blog, I felt that I had a pretty good idea for the costumes and makeup I wanted each actress in. I feel that I have done all that I can to prepare for the majority of my filming. Spring break is approaching, so I am planning on filming my movie on the earlier side, and editing directly after. These past two or so weeks, my work has been super overwhelming. The end of the quarter comes around so fast, so it has been a struggle trying to finish my assignments so quickly. I am a very academic student, but I also like to maintain a balanced social life out of school. Since I don't normally go out on week nights, I save all my plans for the weekend and work for the week. This means piles of work on some nights in order to let go on the weekend. Amongst all of this, it has been extremely hard to film. Especially since my core classes work me hard, and my school schedule is quite different than my sister's, it has been hard to find spare moments in between. However, spring break is the perfect opportunity for me to save a few days to myself in order to film and edit my movie. My sisters will also be home to help me, which works out perfectly.
Aside from filming, I will have to edit my schedule on my blog since some of the dates have passed already, and I want my schedule to be accurate! I did not plan on having this much work, so some of my dates were based on the expectation that I would have a minimal amount of work. Another thing I may have to edit is my cast names. I was looking through my blogs to double check my work the other day, when I noticed my titles did not include my 4 cast members. This is not a huge problem, as I will just have to change the cast names to the font of my titles and add them to the movie. The only thing this will slightly change is the amount of time my titles roll for. Originally, the titles would start playing at the last 30 seconds of my movie, but adding 4 new titles would add another 10 seconds. Therefore, I have to play my titles throughout the last 40 seconds instead of 30. Again, this is nothing major, but it may distract the audience. I will see how this plays out when I film my movie!
